The Miles of Smiles Convoy to Gaza arrived in the Strip through the Rafah border crossing with a number of convoy participants riding pneumatic bicycles lending a very special character to this visit.
The Convoy visited a number of the organisations and institutions for whom they had brought the much needed medicine requested by the Minister of Health. This included a visit to the Al-Jazeera Club which specialises primarily in the care of disabled athletes who play vigorous sports. The convoy also brought a number of vehicles with them.
Members of the convoy then organised a bicycle procession through the streets of Gaza after which they ate breakfast at parliament with Gaza’s Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyya.
