Brigadier-General Yosef Kuperwasser, director- general of Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs, declared this week, during a speech in London, that “all the Jewish people have to be mobilised” to fight the so-called ‘delegitimisation’ of Israel.
Kuperwasser made the remarks as a guest speaker at a dinner on Monday. Discussing the fight against Israel’s increasing international isolation, the official stressed the need “to find a way to outsmart our enemies in this respect.”
While in Britain, Kuperwasser also spoke to The Telegraph to lambast the growing measures being taken in Europe targeting Israeli settlements in the Occupied West Bank – a boycott he linked to anti-Semitism. “There are organisations pretending to be concerned about human rights but they are involved with a campaign to delegitimise Israel.”
Kuperwasser’s visit to London came shortly after he had presented a proposal to fight back against boycott and divestment campaigns to Israeli PM Netanyahu’s cabinet.
