Israeli occupation forces arrested on Monday the wife of a Palestinian prisoner from Hebron, located in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, while she was on her way to visit her husband, who is being detained in the Nafha desert prison.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club issued a statement, a copy of which was received by Quds Press, saying that the occupation had arrested the female citizen Mayson Abdul Jalil Mohammed Suweiti, from Hebron, on the Al-Zaheria barrier while she was traveling to visit her detained husband Mahmoud Abdel Aziz Suweiti, who is being held in Nafha prison.

The Prisoners Club explained that Suweiti was heading to visit her husband after he was transferred on Sunday to the clinic of El-Ramle prison. Her husband suffers from a nerve disease and partial loss of memory after mistakenly being given medication at the beginning of his detention.

34-year-old Suweiti is the mother of four sons, and this is her second arrest. Her husband was detained seven years ago and sentenced to 22 years in jail.
