Amr Moussa, chairman of Egypt’s 50-member constitution drafting committee, congratulated the Egyptian people on completing the second stage of the road map, greeting all those involved in the organisation, preparation and voting in the presidential elections.
The chairman of the constitution drafting committee sent a special warm salute to King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud for the letter he sent to the president-elect Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi congratulating him following the results of the presidential elections.
On his personal account on Facebook, Moussa said yesterday evening: “The Egyptian democratic process has been advancing quickly.”
Moussa saluted Al-Sisi who was chosen by Egyptians in an unprecedented majority vote to be the sixth president of the Arab Republic of Egypt, he said: “President Sisi is taking up the responsibility and Egypt is entering its third era, loaded with the effects of the past and the effects of the transitional phase, but ahead lie future hopes and aspirations of millions.”
Moussa continued saying: “Egypt has suffered for a long time from the poor management of its affairs and is looking forward to a better future, awaiting initiatives and truthfulness, so that we all move onwards and upwards towards the elevation of this country and building a successful future.
“I appeal to all spectrums of the nation and all the parties and movements, we must all work with the president-elect in order to give Egypt the future it deserves from us by working hard and sincerely .. Long live Egypt!”
