30 killed in barrel bomb attacks in Aleppo

At least 30 people were killed and dozens wounded after two barrel bombs hit Aleppo yesterday, Sham network reported.

An activist filmed as the second bomb fell on those gathering to help those wounded following the first explosion.

Dozens were killed or wounded by the Syrian regime which threw explosive barrels on areas in Damascus, Aleppo and Hama.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights documented the killing off 76 people on Sunday in different provinces, including six children and three women, eight died of torture as well as 25 Free Syria Army militants.

Activists said army warplanes targeted several locations including the Raqqa governorate building which is the headquarters for the organisation of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS). On Saturday, army warplanes bombed the cities of Al-Tabqa, Mansoura, Madaan in the Reqa countryside, which is controlled by ISIS.

Opposition sources said the regime’s forces advanced in the southern districts surrounding Aleppo.
