Assad regime forces responded to its military loss in Wadi Al-Dief and Al-Hamidiyeh camps yesterday by launching attacks on the Kafr Takharim neighbourhood, killing seven and wounding 27 others, activist Mussalam Issa said.
According to Issa, 22 fighters attacked Kafr Takharim, north-west of Idlib, calling this a “barbaric response to the regime’s defeat which took place in Wadi Al-Dief and Al-Hamidiyeh”.
Shaam news network correspondent Hashim Abdullah said the attacks affected several neighbourhoods in addition to Kafr Takharim.
Other opposition parties broadcast footage of victims and, according to the Idlib news network; some of the bodies were pulled out from under the rubble. In addition, Assad’s warplanes opened fire killing a defected policeman.
