Ya’alon: Israel continues efforts to return bodies of its soldiers

Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Ya’alon said yesterday that Israel’s efforts to return the bodies of its soldiers are continuous, local Palestinian news agency Qudsnet said.

Two Israeli soldiers named Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin went missing during last summer’s Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip.

Speaking to Israeli army radio, Ya’alon said: “Hamas is treating its wounds in the wake of the war. Our army is deterring its work.”

He added: “Israel does not deceive itself and is not persuading itself that Hamas has turned to a peace lover movement and it stopped arming itself and digging tunnels.”

Regarding the S-300 rocket system that Russia is sending to Tehran, Ya’alon said: “Israel has a response to every new challenge.”
