Israel renews Jerusalem entry ban for Sheikh Raed Salah by 6 months

The IDF’s head of the Home Front Command, Yoel Strick, has renewed the decision to ban Sheikh Raed Salah from entering Jerusalem for a new period of 6 months, Quds Net news agency has reported.

In a post on his Facebook account, Sheikh Salah, the head of the Islamic Movement in Israel, said that “the Israeli army has imposed on me, on Monday 22 June, an unjust ruling preventing me from entering Jerusalem for the coming six months.”

Sheikh Salah enclosed with his post a copy of the decision and a map of the city of Jerusalem, which he is prevented from entering. He commented on the decision saying: “The Israeli occupation… sees itself as an Invincible force; but those who know its reality know that it is a stupid, arrogant and illegitimate occupation. It was born based on an illusion and will continue to reside under illusions until it disappears.”

“Who knows? Perhaps this occupation will end before the end of these six months; otherwise, its end is inevitable, God willing.”
