Saudi reprimands imams who discuss Rabaa

Saudi Arabian Minister of Endowment Saleh Al-Sheikh has said that any imam who speaks about Rabaa and the consequent incidents in Egypt will be held accountable by the authorities, a London-based newspaper reported.

Meanwhile, he described the Rabaa sign as a slogan to express refusal of death and destruction. He said that it does not deserve to be considered a crime in the way the Egyptian authorities are dealing with it.

“Some of the sympathisers were not Muslim Brotherhood members, but they refused the death and destruction which happened to them,” he said.

He affirmed: “It is not necessary that anyone raising the Rabaa sign is a supporter of the group, they may object to the death and destruction.”

“The Saudi Kingdom is the carer of the affairs of Islam, and the Muslim Brotherhood’s agenda, if achieved, is part of what is going on in Saudi Arabia.”
