The Palestinian ministry of health in the Gaza Strip has launched a campaign under the banner, “Help us to help you”. The programme is in cooperation with the International Red Cross and hopes to organise and regulate relatives’ visits to patients in hospitals, Felesteen newspaper has reported.
The quality of staff performance in Gaza’s hospitals is being affected by the often chaotic and disorganised visits of the very high number of visitors.
Several Palestinian officials took part in an event to launch the campaign. It was attended by the ICRC representative in Gaza, who told those present of the various projects that the Geneva-based body has in the Gaza Strip.
