Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Arab League Representative Ahmed Qattan has revealed that his country has transferred $60 million to the Palestinian Authority, Al-Resalah reported on Sunday.
Qattan said that the money transferred to the PA covers instalments due in July, August and September. He pointed out that this measure came after Riyadh’s decision to increase its monthly share of the PA budget from $14m to $20m.
He noted that the Saudi government has been supporting the Palestinian cause on all levels and insisted that it will continue to do so in the future.
