November 3, 2015 at 10:24 am

A Saudi prince and nine others have been charged with drug trafficking by the Lebanese Public Prosecutor, the Anadolu Agency reported yesterday.

According to Lebanon’s official National News Agency, Public Prosecutor Claude Karam charged Saudi Prince Abdulmohsen Bin Walid Bin Abdulmohsen Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and four bodyguards, who were detained by airport security on 26 October with trafficking two tonnes of drugs through Beirut international airport.

Last week, authorities found two tonnes of Captagon amphetamine pills bound for Saudi Arabia on a private jet, security sources and the NNA said.

There has been no comment from Saudi authorities on the case.
