Israeli security officer beats up Arab-Israeli

up An Israeli security official and a number of other Israeli citizens violently beat an Arab man from Rahat, Negev, on Sunday, a new video has shown.

News site Arab48 reported the “racist” assault and identified the Arab as Salman Abu-Mdeeghim.

Abu-Mdeeghim was walking in front of a shopping centre when Israelis screamed, “Terrorist”. The security officer then asked him to identify himself and assaulted him.

The passers-by took part in the assault when they saw the security officer attacking him. Police arrived on the scene and arrested the Arab, who was later released.

Arabs across the country condemned the “racist” assault, citing it as part of the ongoing “racist” assaults by extremist settlers and Israeli security officers against Arabs.
