Spanish football club Real Madrid announced on Wednesday that it is ready to receive the Palestinian boy Ahmed Dawabsheh, the sole survivor of an arson attack carried out by Israeli settlers, Quds Press reported.
Team spokesman Raul Serrano Quevedo said that the team agreed to host the boy after receiving a request from the Palestinian Embassy.
Ahmad, who is five, is still recovering from the 31 July fire that killed his 18-month-old brother and their parents.
The boy has been photographed holding a picture of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. He has said that he dreams of meeting the footballer.
