Russia proposed a new plan to Washington to resolve the Syrian crisis, noting that it did not include the removal of President Bashar Al-Assad, the Anadolu Agency reported a senior official as saying yesterday.

In an interview with the Russian Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: “Russia is not alone in Syria… There are other international partners.”

He said that the partners have been trying to blame Moscow for what is going on in Syria and Ukraine, and at the same time they want us to solve the Syrian crisis and achieve a ceasefire.

Russia is currently completed aerial operation in support for Al-Assad in Syria. It says its bombardment targets Daesh in the country but Turkey has said that only 12 per cent of the strikes target the terror group while the rest hit opposition groups and civilian areas.

Reports have showed that the Russian attacks have killed hundreds of civilians and forced hundreds of thousands to flee their homes.
