The Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi has called for a stop in Israel’s injustice against Palestine and its people.

Marsudi made her remarks before the 5th extraordinary session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Palestine in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, yesterday.

“Israel’s intransigence towards Palestine and Jerusalem continues along with its occupation of the Palestinian territories which is illegally,” she said, adding: “Your support will lay the foundations for stability and peace in Palestine.”

The minister stressed that time has come to find a solution to the Palestinian issue.

The Indonesian foreign minister explained that the arrests and injustices committed by the Israeli soldiers against civilians, including the elderly and children, continue as well as the economic blockade on Palestine.

She announced that nearly 500 delegates from 49 member states participated in the summit which continues today.
