The United States plans to construct a second airbase in Kurdish controlled northern Syria for dual military and civilian use, Anadolu news agency reported.
The US has nearly finished the construction of an airbase in the town of Rmeilan in Syria’s Hasaka province.
The second US airbase will be constructed on the outskirts of Kurdish controlled Kobane.
According to sources, the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) will act as a mediator between the US and the landowner.
