April 4, 2016 at 10:53 am

The ambassador of the Palestinian Authority in Kuwait announced on Sunday that the government there had agreed to hire Palestinian teachers to work in its schools, Safa news agency reported.

Rami Tahmoub was given the news by the Kuwaiti education ministry, which confirmed that the contracts will begin from the start of 2017. Graduates in a number of subjects will be employed.

Tahboub met recently with Kuwaiti Education Minister Badr Al-Issa, who has decided to visit the occupied Palestinian territories following an invitation from his PA counterpart, Sabri Saidam. During the meeting, both Tahboub and Al-Issa discussed the mechanism of sending Palestinian teachers to Kuwait. The ambassador thanked Kuwait for the “great credibility” that this gives to the skills of the teachers in question.
