OIC welcomes Libya’s National Salvation government's decision to step down

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation yesterday welcomed a decision by Libya’s National Salvation government to step down paving the way for the UN- backed national unity government to assert itself in Tripoli.

In a statement, OIC Secretary-General Iyad Madani called on the remaining Libyan political parties to support the national unity government in order to reestablish security and stability in the country.
