Israel extends Palestinian journalist’s arrest

An Israeli court yesterday extended the detention of Palestinian journalist Samah Dweik until Sunday. The same court released Nahla Seyam on condition that she does not enter Al-Aqsa Mosque for 15 days. Quds News journalist Dweik and Seyam are from the Ras Al-Amud neighbourhood in Silwan, occupied East Jerusalem.

Three Jerusalemites were also sentenced to a year in jail for throwing stones, their families reported.

The Human Rights Commission said that the three prisoners are from the Wade El-Goaz neighbourhood of occupied Jerusalem and are being held in Megiddo prison. They were arrested in September 2015.
