Jordanian king arrives in Riyadh on unscheduled visit

Jordanian King Abdullah II arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh today on an unscheduled visit to hold talks with Saudi King Salman Bin Abdelaziz.

Discussions between the two monarchs are expected to tackle recent regional developments and bolstering bilateral relations, the official Saudi Press Agency reported.

No details were available regarding the duration of the Jordanian king’s visit.

Jordan is a member of a Saudi-led military coalition established last year to fight the Houthi group in Yemen and shore up the embattled government of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
