124 Israeli violations against holy places in April

Israel committed 124 violations against Islamic holy sites in April, Quds Press reported the Palestinian Authority (PA) saying yesterday.

In a statement, the Minister of Religious Affairs Yusuf Ida’is said that the Israeli violations were mainly concentrated on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Ibrahimi Mosque.

Israeli occupation forces also banned the call to prayer from being broadcasted from the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron 63 times, adding that Israeli violations are continuous in Jericho and Nablus.

Some 1,800 Israeli Jewish settlers invaded Al-Aqsa Mosque in April, “increasing the number of settlers who stormed the mosque to 4,800 over the last four months.”

Israeli occupation authorities “escalated their racist measures” against Palestinians visiting and performing prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“Through the daily invasions and violations, the Israeli government wants to judaise Al-Aqsa Mosque,” the minister said, noting that the settlers storm the mosque under the full protection of Israeli police and perform their Talmudic rituals, in addition to assaulting Muslim worshipers and arresting them.

He reiterated that Palestinians would continue to defend their holy places and “will never rest unless until the Israeli occupation is completely erased and no settlers remain in Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
