An Iranian man who holds a Turkish passport was shot in Dubai Marina on 4 May.
Khamis Mutar Khamis Al-Muzainah, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, told the Federal National Council (FNC) that the victim was found shot seven times in the head, chest and hand in the Al-Fairooz building of Dubai Marina.
“The mastermind of this murder lives outside the UAE and wanted to settle scores with the victim over an alleged crime…our investigators have gathered enough information about this murder but the delay in the report about the crime allowed the killers to flee the country,” Al-Emarat Al-Youm newspaper reported Al-Muzainah as saying.
He said the victim was allegedly involved in the killing of someone’s daughter in Turkey.
He said police identified all the killers, including an Iranian and Canadians of Colombian and Indian origins.
“We have prepared a record on the murder supported with documents and photographs…it will be sent to the Canadian authorities through the UAE interior ministry…we will not let the killers get away with it and will do our best to track them down and bring them to justice,” he added.
