Egyptian body to open file of prisoners killed by Israel

The Permanent Council of the Egyptian Parties, Mudar, will open the file of Egyptian prisoners who were tortured and killed by Israel during the 1956, 1967 and the War of Attrition today.

In what is considered the first initiative of its kind, the head of the council’s media committee, Dr Ahmed Abdul Hadi, asserted that the seminar will discuss what actions the group will take next based on the ruling issued in favour of Waheed Al-Uqsuri, the head of the council, which forces the Egyptian government to go to the Security Council to acquire compensation.

Abdul Hadi said that during the seminar, documents relating to the prisoners will be revealed and the date of the next judicial session which is currently being filed in courts against the Egyptian government to take urgent action against Israel will be announced.
