An Egyptian official said that 381 Egyptians have returned from Libya through the Salloum port over the past 24 hours.
Assistant Interior Minister General Hisham Lutfi, who is also the security director of the coastal city of Mataruh, said in a statement on Monday that the port received 381 Egyptians, 289 of whom arrived legally and 92 others illegally. Travel procedures were completed for 552 people, including 246 Egyptians and 306 Libyans.
The security official pointed to the “quickness” of the arrival and travel procedures for Egyptians who travel from and to Libya through the Salloum port.
