The Israeli army advised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take appropriate measures to improve Palestinians’ standard of living but he failed to implement them, an Member of the Knesset said.
Speaking in a radio interview, the co-leader of the Zionist Union party Tzipi Livni said failure to change the status quo is not in Israel’s interest as time passes, and the window of opportunity will close.
She criticised the right-wing government, saying that it does not have any solutions for the security challenges facing Israel.
Livni said that her parliamentary bloc will not join the coalition unless the government changes its policies and leads Israel in a different direction.
