Barghouti: Storming Al-Aqsa is a ‘dangerous incitement’

Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative Mustafa al-Barghouti has said that the Israeli raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan are a “dangerous incitement” that will arouse anger in Palestinians and Muslims, PalSawa.com reported on Monday.

He considered the Israeli settlers’ desecration of the mosque while under the protection of the Israeli police and the violations against the worshippers as a kind of “racism” and a violation of the freedom of worship.

Al-Barghouti noted that the Israeli authorities are placing a new status quo in the mosque based on partitioning it.

He said that the tens of thousands of Muslims going to Al-Aqsa during the month of Ramadan is proof that the Palestinians are sticking by the holy site and the whole city of Jerusalem.

He called for all Palestinians to attend the prayer of the last Friday of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque and to remain inside it as long as possible.
