An Egypt court yesterday repealed the verdicts handed down against 32 pro-democracy activists.
The Giza Court of Appeal acquitted 32 people in a case which included 105 defendants, a source told the Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity.
The defendants had previously been sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of 80,000 Egyptian pounds ($9,000) each.
The court’s decision can be appealed by the public prosecutor before a higher court. If the appeal is accepted, the defendants will face a new trial.
