Saudi FM: We will not allow Houthis to take over Yemen

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said that his country will not allow the repetition of the Lebanese situation in Yemen, where the minority rules over the majority.
Speaking at a news conference in London, UK, yesterday, Al-Jubeir said the Houthis in Yemen were a minority who seek to rule over the majority Sunni population.

With regards to Saudi’s relations with Iran, Al-Jubeir stressed that Iran must respect international laws which prohibit harbouring terrorists, accusing it of seeking to create a Persian empire, as he put it.

He said Iran seeks to export its revolution, stressing that his country will not allow it and it will move to protect its own security and that of its citizens.
