Indian Air Force test-fired a medium range surface-to-air missile called Barak 8 which was developed in cooperation with Israel Aerospace Industries, Israeli radio said.
The test was carried out in a defence base in eastern India, the station said.
The weapon is capable of hitting supersonic aircrafts and missiles at a distance ranging between 70 and 90 kilometres and carry a warhead weighing 2.7 tonnes, the report said.
