An Israeli pilot was killed when his F-16 plane crash landed at Ramon Air Force Base in Naqab desert yesterday. Major Ohad Cohen Nov had tried to eject from his jet after returned from conducting an airstrike on the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Israeli air force announced the death on Twitter:
As a result of the ejection one of the crew members was killed. The other was lightly injured and was evacuated for medical treatment.

Adding that an investigation is being launched into the crash:
The families have been notified and an Air-Force commission to review the circumstances of the crash has commenced.

Israeli warplanes attacked several positions in Gaza on yesterday after a rocket fired from the Strip reportedly hit the town of Sderot.
