Israeli occupation authorities yesterday demolished ten homes owned by Arab-Israelis in the Negev town of Bir Hadaj, south Israel, Quds Press reported.
Sources said the Israeli occupation authorities demolished the houses of the Abu-Maraheel family in the town making the family homeless.
This was in spite of the fact that the town was recognised by the authorities; however it failed to give it an official construction plan and licences.
Officials from the town said Israel had delayed the issuing of a construction plan with the aim of demolishing the properties and force residents out to make way for a Jewish settlement.
They stressed that this “racist Israeli policy will fail like other previous plans,” noting that the Arabs will remain in their land forever.
The town did not have state services such as water and electricity networks, or public service facilities.
