Lonely Planet travel guide has ranked the Sultanate of Oman eighth in the world among top countries to visit in 2017.
Oman is the first Middle Eastern country to make it to the list this year. It is also the first time Oman is featured in the “Best in Travel” travel guide since 2009.
The Sultanate has invested some $120 million in Majarat Oman, a futuristic theme park for families which is set to open doors in 2017.
The Sultanate has managed to attract more than two million visitors from around the world in 2015, and looks forward under the new national strategy for tourism to double the number of visitors and attract more than five million visitors by 2040.
