Algeria bans Israeli made medicine

Algeria’s Ministry of Health has banned the sale of a deadly painkiller which is produced in Israel in a number of regions across the coutry, the local Annahar newspaper reported.

In a statement, the director of health in the state of Mila said orders have been received that the sale of a type of paracetamol which is produced in Israel should be stopped in a number of governates around Algeria.

The statement added that the tablet could be fatal. He asked the Director of Health to take action with a view to ensure that all pharmacies and those trading in medical supplies take the necessary measures to prevent the sale of this medicine.
