Banning the Call to Prayer in Jerusalem
Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman has said that the Muslim call to prayer (athan) is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world.
As efforts are being made in Israel to ban the athan, the Hollywood star’s comments underlined the total fallacy of the claim that the call to prayer, which has been made five times a day for over a millennium, is noise pollution.
He made the comments as he visited an imam at a mosque when filming ‘The Story of God’ for the National Geographic.
