Houthis and forces loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh yesterday attacked a pro- government military site in the southwest of the country killing six soldiers and wounding dozens more.
Fahmi Subaihi, field commander of popular resistance, a pro-government group, said rebels and their allies bombed with a ballistic missile the Shaab Al-Jinn military site near the Strait of Bab El-Mandeb.
Subaihi told the Anadolu Agency that the bombing killed six government soldiers and wounded dozens more.
The pro-Houthi SABA news agency reported that the group’s missile unit targeted a gathering of government troops in the camp.
The agency quoted an unnamed Houthi military source as saying that the rocket killed and injured dozens of army troops and destroyed ten military vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition launched intensive raids against Houthi and Saleh sites in the cities of Dhubab and Jadida in the Taiz province resulting in the destruction of military vehicles, including a rocket launching base.
