A new batch of Turkish armed forces arrived in Doha last night to reinforce forces already in Qatar as part of a training programme which is currently underway.
According to the Directorate of Moral Guidance in the Ministry of Defence of Qatar, “a new boost of Turkish armed forces to Al Udeid Air Base, to join the existing forces in the state, which began its training last week.”
The planned exercises are part of a joint defence agreement signed between Doha and Ankara aimed at boosting the defence capabilities of both countries through joint exercises, supporting counter-terrorism efforts, and maintaining security and stability in the region.
