The true steadfast men and women of the nation protested and exposed their leaders for the traitors they are rather than the martyrs they appear to be. These Palestinians are the most honourable members of our nation, and are a select few remaining who continue to resist the Zionist enemy, defend the nation’s honour and protect Al-Aqsa. This small group of people managed, by means of their perseverance, to defeat Israel and force it to remove the electronic gates, cameras and metal barriers from Al-Aqsa’s gates, closed by the occupation for almost two weeks. The occupation prevented the call for prayer from being raised in Al-Aqsa, as well as banning the people from praying in the mosque amid suspicious Arab and international silence and the complete absence of the so-called Arab League. It is as If they had all agreed to this crime and blessed it.

Al-Aqsa Mosque, the site of the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) nightly journey, was also absent from Al-Azhar and its Sheikh, Dr Ahmed El-Tayeb. He failed to issue a statement condemning the measures against Al-Aqsa, although, after the boycott against Qatar, he immediately issued a statement supporting the boycotting countries and condemning Qatar as a country supporting terrorism.

Al-Aqsa does not need these insignificant individuals to defend it, as Al-Aqsa is defended by men who remain true to what they promised Allah. Some of them were martyred while some who await martyrdom, and they have not backed down. I am referring to the unarmed protestors who stood bare chested in the face of the fully armed Israeli army, fearless and unwavering. Instead, they are the ones who intimidated and frightened the Israeli soldiers.
Reports from the Israeli intelligence have warned against the continued closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which frustrated Netanyahu, who feared the consequences of this, especially after the death of three young Palestinians and the stabbing of three Israelis in the occupied West Bank. The situation seemed to be heading in the direction of a new intifada in the West Bank and this is what Netanyahu fears. Therefore, he had no choice but to surrender to the will of the perseverant protestors outside of Al-Aqsa. He removed the electronic gates and metal barriers, hence the tenacious protestors who proved that strong will and determination is stronger than weapons.
Resistance is the solution to defeat the occupation and to hell with all the peace treaties, starting with the Oslo Accords!
