On Thursday evening, Israeli occupation forces released two Hamas leaders in the city of Ramallah. These were Hassan Youssef, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, and Bajas Nakhla.
Youssef’s son told the SAFA news agency that the occupation forces released his father from the Ofer prison near Ramallah after he had spent 22 months in detention.
The occupation forces had arrested Youssef in November 2015 after storming his house in the town of Bitunya.

Hasan Youssef, 63, is considered to be the most prominent Hamas leader in the occupied West Bank and he has been detained for more than 15 times.
The occupation forces also released Hamas leader Bajas Nakhla who is from the Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah.
Nakhla spent 17 months in Israeli jails, where he was released from Nefhah prison, south of Hebron.
Nakhla spent more than 14 years in Israeli jails, mostly in administrative detention. The last action Nakhla had begun a hunger strike having refused to go on solitary confinement.
