The Syrian presidency released a video clip of Asma Al-Assad, the wife of Syria regime President Bashar Al-Assad, at a breast cancer screening centre in the military hospital in Damascus ahead of a chemotherapy session.
The video was released on the Syrian presidency’s Twitter account with the caption: “Mrs. Asma Al-Assad at the examination centre for the breast cancer campaign in the military hospital in Damascus before heading to a treatment session today.”
Photographs of Asma, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, receiving treatment at hospital and going on spiritual therapy trips to Alawite shrines have recently emerged in an unprecedented move from the Assad family, which has long surrounded itself in secrecy.
