Hezbollah on Saturday raised its level of readiness in southern Lebanon to 100 per cent and summoned its troops to the region for the first time since Israel’s war on Lebanon in July 2006, local media reported.

The sources said this comes as the Israeli army prepares to launch a large-scale exercise that simulates a war on various fronts including against Hezbollah and Hamas.
“The Israeli army manoeuvre simulates a major war on Israel from the southern and northern borders including the Sinai desert in parallel with protest movements that may erupt in the West Bank and at home,” the sources said.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation Kan reported that the Israeli occupation army would be launching a large-scale manoeuvre simulating war on all fronts on Sunday.
