Nidaa Tounes sets conditions to maintain support for presidential decisions 

The Nidaa Tounes movement stipulated on Friday the opening of national security files and maintaining honesty with the public as a condition for its support for the decisions of the President of the Republic Kais Saied.

Nidaa Tounes affirmed that its support for the exceptional measures is not absolute, indicating that it requires a commitment to respect the law, individual and public rights. The party pressed for opening all national security files, starting with the secret apparatus of the Ennahda Movement, political assassinations, smuggling networks, suspicious financing and terrorist crimes that claimed the lives of security officers, army personnel and innocent citizens.

The political party also called for opening judicial, governmental and financial corruption files, reviewing the appointment mechanism in senior state positions and ensuring accountability. The party stressed the need for comprehensive auditing of public finances, the central bank transactions and public institutions funded by the state, confiscated properties, and private and public property.

Nidaa Tounes highlighted the need to change the electoral system into a just, fair and transparent mechanism that would create equal opportunities for everyone to empower a true elite that can generate change in society.
