The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced on Friday that the Israeli killing of three Palestinians in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin “adds fuel to the fire of tension.”

As reported by Al-Resalah newspaper, Hamas official Hisham Qasem expressed: “The blood of our martyrs in Jenin provokes resumption of resistance and reminds us that we are dealing with a cowardly and treacherous enemy.”

Qasem warned that Palestinians: “Must be alarmed all around the areas they exist inside and outside Palestine.”

The Hamas official said the continuous Israeli army detention of Palestinian youths and the increase of settler attacks on Palestinians: “Do not send positive messages about the claimed Israeli intention to calm the situation.”

He concluded: “Today’s murder of three Palestinian youths in Jenin proves that our struggle with the Israeli occupation is continuous despite the attempts to integrate it into the region through the normalisation deals.”
