A group of Israeli settlers yesterday fired live bullets at civilians near the town of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah. A source from the town told Safa news agency that armed settlers fired live bullets at citizens and shepherds in the Jabal Al-Habazi area, north of Ni’lin, in order to prevent them from reaching their land. In recent years, Israeli settlers have been seeking to control hundreds of dunums of the town’s lands, they built dirt roads, set up tents and uprooted olive trees. Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967. Human rights abuses against Palestinians and breaches of international law are daily occurrences.
