The Syrian Salvation Government yesterday said it would withdraw from a recent decision taken to accept Assad regime graduates into Idlib University.

The opposition government said in a statement that applications for all diplomas submitted from the area under the control of the regime of President Bashar Al-Assad had been “suspended”.

Students at Idlib University yesterday organised a protest against the institution’s decision to recognise the Assad regime’s graduates.

Local sources reported that dozens of students from different faculties protested outside the university demanding the suspension of applications from the area under the control of the Assad regime.
