Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has affirmed Egypt’s categorical rejection of any foreign interference in Iraq’s affairs, highlighting the need to continue joint efforts to raise the capabilities of Iraqi institutions in various fields.
His remarks came at the opening session of the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership held in Jordan yesterday.
Al-Sisi said supporting the Iraqi institutions is the best way to “preserve” its security and sovereignty, and will positively impact the security of other countries in the region.

“In this regard, I reaffirm [Egypt’s] intention to move forward with the implementation of joint projects that are currently being studied within the framework of the mechanism, in a way that contributes to achieving the aspired development of our peoples, and allows them to benefit from each other’s capabilities,” Al-Sisi said.
