The Doctors’ Syndicate said yesterday that they have been informed by Jenin Hospital about the closure of their operations rooms and the cancellation of surgical procedures, effective immediately and until further notice.
In a brief statement, the Doctors’ Syndicate attributed the closure to a shortage of anesthesiologists.
The union has accused Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila and the ministry’s directors of “indifference” in addressing the existing shortage.
