Israel intentionally carries out attacks near and around Palestinian hospitals to cause indirect damage to them, the Ministry of Health in Gaza has said.

The attacks also aim to thwart or delay the arrival of the wounded to the hospitals, it added.

One of the attacks, it explained, targeted the European Hospital in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis, making entry and exit from the hospital very difficult.

Another attack, the ministry said, targeted the area surrounding Al Karama Hospitals in the north of Gaza Strip.

The ministry also said that another heavy attack targeted the neighbourhood near the Al Naser Hospital for Children, causing windows to shatter over the patients.
