International Jazz Day kicks off in Morocco

International Jazz Day 2024 kicked off in Tangier, northern Morocco, yesterday evening with artists from around the world including pianist Herbie Hancock and the artist John Paisley, both from the US, and Moroccan artist Abdullah El Kord. Morocco's Minister of Culture and Youth Mehdi Ben Said, adviser to the Moroccan King Andre Azoulay, and the US Ambassador to Rabat Puneet Talwar attended the event which was organised in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
