Yemen’s Houthi group announced yesterday that they have targeted 162 Israel-linked ships since 7 October in solidarity with Gaza, Anadolu reported.
The group’s leader, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi said in a televised speech broadcasted by the group’s Al-Masirah channel that last week alone, the Yemen Front carried out 12 operations using 20 ballistic and winged missiles, a drone, and a boat.
“This week, we targeted six ships, bringing the total number of ships targeted since the beginning of the Gaza support operations to 162 ships,” he said, without revealing details of the vessels. The group reiterated that it only targets American, British, and Israeli ships, or those that violate the decision to ban entry to Israeli ports.
The Houthi leader said the American battle to stop the Yemeni army’s operation at sea was not easy, and the Yemeni people are “steadfast” and “continue to develop their capabilities to overcome enemy’ technologies and limit them.”
The United States, Britain, and Israel did not comment on Al-Houthi’s speech.
On Wednesday evening, the US Central Command announced the destruction of two boats and two Houthi radar sites in Yemen.
